Natural Paper MakingCome learn how to make paper from scratch.
Add herbs and flowers as well as natural colors to create beautiful natural paper like they did a 1000 years ago . We will create 4 projects : You will use different scents, herbs and colors for each of your pieces and then take them home to dry. This class will use the shuttle method of paper making in this class. Owl Heat Pack Sewing ClassHave you wanted to learn how to sew but didn’t know where to start?
Learn the basics by sewing your own Owl Heat Packs from previously used fabric. In this class we’ll turn sheets, shower curtains, table cloths, etc, into durable, unique bags that will be the envy of every check-out line. Using upcycled created items is a sustainable choice that benefits the environment. Instead of tossing your stained table cloth, repurpose it! The foundations taught in this class can be applied to any sewing project. Making your own is a great way to gain confidence using a machine. Pottery Series #1: Pottery Napkin Ring SetCome learn the basic pottery techniques of cutout, hand building, coil attachments, 2 part adhesion, glass melting and beginning glaze creation. This is a 3 hour class with an hour follow up or you pick out your glaze in class and we will finish and fire for you. Bring wine/drink of choice and come have some fun. Perfect girls night out !!!
Sewing Crafts: Making Kleenex tissue case, Mug Rug, Hexagonal CoasterThis is a 'Beginner' level class, but you should know the basics of operating a sewing machine. There are several machines in the studio, or you are welcome to bring your own machine.
During the class, you will be making 3 projects to take home with you. Fabric will be supplied. The three projects you will be making are: • Small purse-size tissue holder • Hexagonal coaster • ‘Mug rug' • If time allows, we may have an additional project. There are only 6 spots available for this class so make sure you reserve your spot early! |
Magazine Basket WeavingJoin us for this relaxing class creating a simple eco-friendly basket from recycled paper. This sturdy basket can be made from any type of paper and is surprisingly sturdy. Make ‘em, gift ‘em, or keep ‘em for your own storage needs.
In this class you will make and bring home: • 1 woven magazine basket Optional Supplies: containers for your homemade goods, a bag to bring home your homemade goodies, notebook, snacks (bags/containers will be provided) Victorian French Beaded Flowers ClassWe will learn to make 3 different types of elegant Victorian French-style beaded flowers and the leaves to match. You’ll learn techniques for attaching your flowers to jewelry or stems.
In this class you will make and bring home: • French beaded flowers Optional Supplies: containers for your homemade goods, a bag to bring home your homemade goodies, notebook, snacks, wine (bags/containers will be provided) Tie Dye #1Come join us and learn how to tie dye! We will supply a pre-washed cotton t-shirt & all supplies needed for this class. (If you don't wear a Small - XLarge shirt then please give us at least a week advance notice so we can have your size available for you!) We will be working on the Spiral pattern. Check out our other 11 Tie Dye classes that we offer to learn a more complex pattern. After you take this basic one you can jump into any of the other 11 you like! Stripes, Bullseyes, Spiral, Flower Square, Scumbled or Spider are some of the ways that cloth can be folded. Come for some colorful fun in the sun.

Beginning CrochetCome and learn to create amazing things with yarn. This class will teach the basics of reading a pattern, how to choose your yarn, which crochet hook will work for you and finally how to actually learn the 2 stitches in crochet. You’ll learn the 2 basic stitches and create either a artsy, understated necklace or a practical kitchen dishcloth.

Intro to Sewing: Dress Shirt Apron You’ve seen them on Pinterest and Etsy: aprons made from men’s dress shirts. They’re super cute. You want one but you don’t have a sewing machine. Perhaps you don’t know how to sew or it’s been eons since you touched a needle and you want hands on instruction. This class is for you! The sewing basics taught in this class can be applied to any project. We’ll start with an oversized shirt, customize to your preferences, and discuss ways to use the leftover scraps and cuffs. Create Rag Rugs from re-cycled and up-cycled materialRag rugs are rugs that are made from re-cycled or up-cycled material. Long ago women would save their scraps of material in a bag until they finally had enough to create their rug. They would then use those scraps to create beautiful and durable works of art. There are several techniques for creating rag rugs and we will do them all in this series. They include weaving, crocheting, knotting, braiding, and hooking.
